4. The FACEIT leaderboard

A single Discord channel that shows your top-N linked players by ELO, with arrows showing rank movement since the previous refresh. Updates every 10 minutes. Zero maintenance.

How to enable it

  1. Run /setup or /settings in your server.
  2. Click Leaderboard.
  3. Pick a size: top-5, top-10, top-20, top-50.
  4. Click Create channel. EloLink creates #faceit-top-N at the top of your server, locked for @everyone (read-only), and posts the initial leaderboard message.

The channel auto-refreshes the same message every 10 minutes — no notification spam.

What the leaderboard shows

Each row contains:

  • Rank position — 1, 2, 3...
  • Rank arrow — ▲ if the player went up since last refresh, ▼ if down, ━ if unchanged. The arrow is sticky: it stays until the player’s rank actually changes again.
  • FACEIT level icon — the official FACEIT badge for the player’s current level.
  • Nickname — links to the player’s FACEIT profile.
  • ELO

How ranks are calculated

EloLink sorts every linked member on the server by faceit_elo descending. Only members currently on the Discord server are considered — if someone leaves, they drop off automatically. New linkings show up on the next refresh.

Changing size, refreshing, removing

Open /settingsLeaderboard:

  • Resize — pick a new top-N size; the next refresh adjusts. The message stays the same Discord message.
  • Refresh now — forces an immediate recalculation.
  • Remove — deletes the message and channel. EloLink stops tracking ranks for the guild.

Common questions

Will the message ping members?

No. EloLink doesn’t mention any role or user — the leaderboard uses the FACEIT nickname as plain text linked to the profile. No ping noise.

Can I move the channel into a category?

Yes. Drag it anywhere in Discord. EloLink tracks by channel ID — categories, position, name overrides all work fine.

Why isn’t my fresh link in the top yet?

The leaderboard refreshes on a 10-minute cadence. Force a refresh from /settingsLeaderboardRefresh now if you don’t want to wait.

Self-rank lookup

Any member can press the Where am I? button under the leaderboard to get an ephemeral reply with their exact rank — even if they aren’t in the top-N.
