Privacy Policy

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains what data EloLink collects, why, and how it is used. EloLink collects only the minimum data necessary to operate the service. We do not run any behavioural analytics, telemetry pipeline, or third-party tracking on the bot or the website.

We do not collect passwords, email addresses, payment information, behavioural analytics, browsing history, or any third-party advertising trackers (Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, etc.). The only cookie we set is the dashboard session cookie used for Discord OAuth login.

3. How we collect data

All data is obtained through official OAuth 2.0 authorization flows. You explicitly grant permission when clicking “Link FACEIT” or logging into the dashboard. We never access your accounts without your consent.

4. How we use your data

Assigning and updating Discord roles based on your FACEIT level
Displaying your stats and profile when requested
Synchronizing your nickname across servers (if enabled by a server admin)
Pushing metadata to Discord’s Linked Roles system
Creating and displaying public leaderboards featuring your nickname and FACEIT match data
Promoting EloLink through social media, websites, or other channels using aggregated or individual FACEIT match data (e.g., “Top Players”)

5. Data storage

All data is stored in a private database on our server. OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest. Match history is automatically pruned. We do not sell your data to third parties. Aggregated, non-personal information (level distribution, server counts) may be published publicly.

6. Data retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is linked. When you use /unlink, all your stored data is permanently deleted — including FACEIT ID, level, ELO, match cache, and guild membership records.

7. Public leaderboards

EloLink may display your FACEIT nickname, skill level, and ELO in public leaderboards or promotional content. This is a core part of the Service and you consent to it by linking your account. To opt out, use /unlink.

8. Data visibility

Your FACEIT nickname, skill level, ELO, and match statistics are accessible to any Discord user via the /stats command by mentioning your Discord account. This is a core feature of the Service. By linking your account, you acknowledge and accept that other users may look up your stats at any time. To remove this access, use /unlink.

9. Your rights

View: use /profile and /stats to see your linked data.
Delete: use /unlink to permanently delete all your data and remove lookup access.

10. Third-party services

EloLink uses the Discord API and FACEIT Open API. These services have their own privacy policies governing their data handling.

11. Children’s privacy

EloLink does not knowingly collect data from users under 13 years of age. If you believe a minor’s data has been collected, contact us immediately at [email protected].

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. We encourage you to review it periodically.
